A Long Weekend in the Berner Oberland: Setting up Camp in Stechelberg

We arrived to Stechelberg with rain.  We set up our tent as quickly as possible and found a small low tree covering to cooking dinner on our mini gas camping stove.  For May, it was still cold enough to need a wool hat, wool socks and gloves by evening.  We prepared bratwursts in a minipan (so German of us) along with rice and corn. We had hiked the entire day and with the rain still steady a few hours after getting things set up, we were wrapped up in our sleeping bags by 21.
